The historic main thoroughfare in Tombstone. The town takes its name from prospector Ed Schieffelin who was told that the only rock he would find in the hills would be his tombstone. He promplty went on to name his mining claim "Tombstone". The town takes its name from the mining claim.

Boothill Graveyard was founded in 1878 and was closed to additional burials in 1884. Rumor has it that the graveyard was named based on the fact that many of its residents died suddenly with their boots on.

The Crystal Palace Saloon was once one of the most luxurious saloons in the West. It took Prohibition to shut its doors. However, historic records and photographs were used to restore the saloon to its former glory while retaining its 1880's integrity.

The fight at the OK Corral left three cowboys dead and wounded Virgil and Morgan Earp. The historic gunfight is reenacted daily.

The gunfight at the OK Corral lasted only 30 seconds.

The Cochise County Courthouse was built in 1882 at a cost of nearly $50,000. Housed in the courthouse were the sheriff, recorder, treasurer, jailhouse as well as the board of supervisors. Today, the courthouse is a museum with exhibits representing Tombstone's past.

The famous Bird Cage Theater. The establishment served as more than a theater during its heyday. Saloon, gambling hall and even brothel are all a part of the Bird Cage's colorful past. The theater is now a museum.
